How Do You File a Claim?
Every insurance company has required paperwork, reporting deadlines, and other policies in place. Do you know what number to call to file a claim? It might not be the same number that you use to reach your agent to make payments or ask questions. How quickly do you need to report damage in order to start the claims process? You might be able to make a phone call, but some companies may require that you submit something in writing within 30 or 60 days.
